Dosa or Dosai is a favourite for everyone in my house. When I made this Adai in the form of Adai Dosai, it was much relished. All I did was to grind the usual Adai batter into a smooth batter instead of a coarse paste and add 1/2 cup of normal dosa batter to it. Really Yummm! Tried and tasted ( tested :) )
Ingredients
Raw Rice - 1 cup
Bengal gram dal - 1/3 cup
Ural Dal - 1/3 cup
Split Moong Dal - 1/3 cup
Toor Dal - 1/4 cup
Dry Red Chilly - 8 nos
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece, garlic - 3 cloves
Onion - for ginding
Onion - For Adai
Method:
Soak the above for 4 hours including the onion for grinding into a slightly coarse batter adding enough salt. There is no need to ferment this adai batter. Add 2 ladles of dosa batter and mix to this. This is b'coz we are not making adai (which is a thicker version), we are making a thin one like dosa. Adding dosa batter makes it tasty and easy to spread. Sprinkle onion on top if you like. Close the dosai (no need to turn the other side). If not adding onions, then you can flip the dosai and cook the other side until light brown and take out.
Yummy adai dosai is ready!!!
