Channa Masala
This Channa Masala Recipe turned out so well when I tried, so wanted to blog it.
Method
Soak channa and cook well in the pressure cooker till soft.
Fry the following items and grind
Whole garam masala (clove, cinnamon, bay leaf, elachi)
1 Onion
1 Green Chilly
2 Medium tomatoes
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Chilly pwd 1 tsp
Coriander pwd 1/2 tsp
turmeric pwd (a pinch)
Add 1 spoon oil in a kadai and fry 1/2 tsp sombu and add the above masala. Add 1/2 tsp channa masala and let it boil for a few minutes. Add channa and salt and mix well. In the end, grind 1 small piece coconut to 5 almonds. Add this to the gravy and let it boil for a minute or two. This gives a nice creamy texture to the gravy. Add Kasuri methi in the end to give it a nice smell.
Channa masala is ready to serve !!!
