Vegetarian mutton made out of Soya and mushroom is so famous in Singapore that one cannot miss it when shopping in NTUC. There are many different brands, after experimenting with different brands, one brand that tastes very close to mutton is from a company called "Vege talk". Below is a photo of how the packet looks like.


garam masala items

onion 4

tomato medium 4

ginger garlic: 1 spoon

mutton masala (Babas) - 1 spoon

chilly powder: 1 1/2 spoon

coriander powder - 2 spoons

garam masala powder - 1/2 spoon

dry chillies - 3 (without splitting)

3 spoons oil, add garam masala, onion, dry chillies, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, tomato sliced nicely fry, when it turns  add the powders and fry. Then add 1/2 cup water and required salt. Nicely boil till raw smell goes. Then add the veg mutton and mix all. Fry well for 10 minutes, close the lid and again stir well till the dish comes out with nice aroma.
