A favourite snack of kids

Take 4 long potatoes and peel skin. Cut it in the shape of fries and blanch it in ice cold water for 1/2 hour to one hour. Drain it on a draining towel. Fry it in piping hot oil until they turn crispy but not black. Sprinkle salt and shake well.

( If you have the time, first fry them for 2 minutes, drain oil and let them become cold. Again fry them till they turn crisp, this gives a good colour and tastes better).

Enjoy home made french fries :)
