Fry the following in 3 tbsp of gingelly oil

Thalippu vathal 1/2 spoon (can get in Indian stores, looks like the picture below)

Mustard seed

Urad dal

Dry red chilly

Small onions - 6 to 8 pieces, cut to half

Curry leaves

Garlic - 6,

Tamarind water - 11/2 cup diluted
Methi seeds - 1 spoon

To this, add vatha kulambu mix 3 tbsp, 1 tbsp coriander pwd, 1 tbsp sambar pwd, 2 cut tomatoes, vegetables (drmstick, brinjals, unripe mango slices)When tomato turns mushy, add salt and tamarind water (1 1/4 cup diluted)2 tbsp thick coconut milk close for 2 whistles in pressure cooker.

Boil mung dal, 3/4 cup and add in the end, adjust salt accordingly.

This is a quick fix recipe, try to add mango slices in the end when adding dal and boil for a minute, otherwise it turns mushy...

The taste of this curry is fantastic!!! It is tested.
