Peas Potato Kurma

Tuesday, November 27, 2012

Peas potato kurma is a quick fix for vegetable kurma as it does not demand extensive cutting of veggies. This particular method came out really nice, so wanted to post it.

Am jumping to the method straight away...

In a small pressure cooker or pressure pan, fry

- full garam masala, 4 to 5 curry leaves

- One big onion sliced thin

- One tbsp ginger paste

- One tbsp garlic paste

- One big tomato sliced thin

- One small tomato (grind)

- 1.5 tbsp Kurma pwd

- 1 tsp Chilly pwd

- 2 tbsp coriander pwd

- 1 pinch yellow pwd

- 1 tbsp thick curd

- 1.5 tbsp salt

- add peas and potato (not yet cooked)

- add 1tbsp thick curd

In the end add the paste of 5 tbsp coconut with one green chilly and 5 almonds.

Give this 2 to 3 whistles depending on your cooker.

Ta da! your Kurma is ready to be served with pulao or rotis.

Please give this a try and let me know if you liked it.

Bye!
