Mushroom Potato Peas Curry

I got this recipe from a video on you tube ( and adapted it to my taste. It was so yummy so decided to upload it here. Pls try this and let me know your comments.

Am jumping straight to the method, that will list out how much of each ingredient I used

Heat two spoons of oil and fry a piece of Cinnamon, Cloves, Bayleaf and one slit green chilli

Add one sliced onion, one minced onion and a tbsp each of ginger and garlic paste and fry well oil starts oozing out.

Add 4 thinly sliced tomatoes and give it a stir and close the lid until the mixture turns mushy.

Add 1.5 tbsp Sambar powder and mix well. Then, I added 1 tbsp mutton curry powder (optional)

Now add mushroom and peas and give it a toss. Add required salt and 1/2 cup water and close the lid, leave it for 10 to 12 minutes.

Open and Stir on and off to prevent sticking. Once the mushrooms are 3/4th cooked, add 1 cubed and boiled potato to this mixture and close for 2 to 3 minutes.

Lastly add a paste of 4 tbsp coconut, 1 tbsp fennel seeds and 1 tbsp whole black pepper, let it boil for 3 to 4 minutes.

Switch off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.

This is really yummy with any tiffin item - roti, prata, idli, dosa etc
