Pav Bhaji

Friday, February 21, 2014

This dish, pav Bhaji was served in my friends house for evening snacks few years ago. She also told me the recipe but I didn't get to try it until recently. Once I tried, it was well accepted in my house, so want to make this a regular tiffin in the mornings or evenings.

Ingredients

1.  Garlic paste - 1 tbsp

2. Tomatoes - 2 medium sized chopped

3. Onions - 1 chopped finely

4. Green chilly - 1 finely chopped

5. chilly pwd - 1 tsp

6. Pav Bhaji masala - 1 tbsp

7. Tomato Ketchup - 1 tsp

8. Sabji masala/Kitchen King Masala - 1 tsp

9. Pav Bhaji Buns

10 Boiled vegetables (potato, pees, carrrot and capsicum)

Method:

1. Fry garlic paste, green chilly and onions in one spoon oil.
Add some salt, this will help to brown the onions fast.

2. Add chopped tomatoes and make them mushy, add tomato ketchup.

3. Now add chilly pwd, pav bhaji masala and check on salt and roast along with
tomatoes. Wait till raw smell leaves.

4. In the end, add boiled vegetables and mix. Let is boil for some more time
till all of them blend well, mash the vegetables with masala if needed.

5. In the end, add chopped raw onions and chopped coriander and garnish.

Add lemon juice before serving.

Pav Bhaji masala is ready, Enjoy!!!

Tips:

1. Add capsicum to the fried onions instead of boiling. This gives a better taste.

2. Grate and Boil Cauliflower, grating gives a better taste.

3. Potatoes and carrots must be mashed well.

4. If you don't have sabji masala/kitchen king masala, just use only Pav Bhaji masala and chilly powder. Taste does not change too much.
